The young couple who owned this property brought it for a bargain. It had signs of water damage around the windows and damp walls on the east side. They had lived in it as long as they dared and with the arrival of their first child it was time for the re-clad project to get underway. So the family moved out to stay with Mum for the five month duration of the project.
With the old cladding stripped off it was found that 40% of the framing timber need replacing – very close to what had been originally estimated. Most of the windows were swapped out for new, double-glazed aluminium.
A master suite with ensuite and walk in wardrobe was added downstairs along with a double garage with doors both sides to allow access to the back yard.
Upstairs the living room was extended and a large internal deck added. New flooring and paint to the existing rooms was the finishing touch to this now very marketable, warm and spacious family townhouse.
